Erine Leigh

Thicket

Today I stood out in the strong morning sun
with my eyes closed
letting its laser’d beams
drill my third eye.
There were swirls just like the currents of a great river
pouring from a center of creation the opposite of a black hole.
A prism gulf washing over all, volcanic twists of colored light.
Another universe may be building, may spill forth to

replace this thicket of mistakes we call home.

Erine Leigh

Erine Leigh is a NH seacoast-based poet who is prone to writing about places, in particular the Isles of Shoals, but lately finds herself in new territory.
