Angie Hedman

The mixed media paintings were created using acrylic paint, and vintage dress patterns. Inspiration was gathered from the study of land and water, combined with my interest in vintage dresses. The irregular edges of the delicate patterns placed on top of the acrylic paint created an organic earth and water quality, reminiscent of maps. The combination of materials instantly appealed to me, both visually and emotionally. The paintings each measure 24"X30".
