Marieken Cochius

Marieken Cochius is a Dutch-born artist living in the Hudson Valley. Meditative and intuitive work that often explores growth forms, movement, and containment of energy, she is drawn to remote places where she studies nature and makes art inspired by it. Her work encompasses drawing, painting, sculpture. A sculptural public commission was completed in 2017 for the Village of Wappingers Falls. Her work was featured on covers of Willard and Maple Magazine, Sun Spot Journal, and inside: Tule Review, Cold Mountain Review, Mud Season Review, Tiny Seed Literary Journal, Esthetic Apostle, DeLuge Journal, Alluvian Environmental Journal, Raw Art Review.
